Sold out some 10 days in advance, this year was by far one of the most popular years ever. Held in it's new home in Attrills Yard (the new home of Will Squibb Boatbuilders) just a few minutes walk from the old site, this event formed part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of Bembridge Harbour, with numerous other events taking place over the weekend.

The event raised over £3000 for the two charities, despite some of the worst rain we've seen at the event during the first two hours. DANCE ON THE DUVER 2010
Saturday 14th August

Thanks to everyone who attended this year's event, braving the chilly northerly winds! Thanks to your generosity we raised over 850 for the two charities. It's a little less than in previous years but never the less a galant effort considering the weather we'd experienced during the day and evening itself.

We're looking into ways of making it easier for visitors from the mainland to buy tickets in advance as we understand that bad weather earlier in August had stopped some marina customers making it over to buy their tickets.

DANCE ON THE DUVER 2009
Saturday 22nd August

This was the first year on the new site next door to the Duver Marina, a move made due to the logistics of parking and traffic problems on site throughout previous events. The move also made it possible to add a fireworks finale to end the evening.

Thanks to everyone who attended this year's event, to the band and everyone who helped out on the day. Following feedback from last year's event we've looked at improvments in a number of areas for 2010, especially regarding the barbeque situation (sorry to those who had to queue for so long!).

We can now report that the 2009 event raised 1311.28, with the event attended by well over 400 people. Thanks again to everyone.
